With the continued dry conditions (both Jefferson and Thayer County are currently experiencing a moderate drought), the implementation of drought conservation measures issued by the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and in order to avoid a reoccurrence of a low water level in the water tower that occurred on June 16 as a direct result of irrigation of lawns, the City of Fairbury will need to continue to monitor water usage and the Mayor is requesting water continue to be regulated per §51.48 (C) (3) of the Municipal Code whereby residents with:
