CITY OF FAIRBURY, NEBRASKA

COUNCIL AGENDA

All agenda items are for discussion and action will be taken as deemed appropriate.  The City Council reserves the right to go into executive session in accordance with Section 84-1410.

A.     CALL TO ORDER

1.      Pursuant to Section 84-1412(8) of the Nebraska Open Meetings Act a current copy of the Open Meetings Act is posted in the entry of this meeting room and is available for viewing by the public.

B.    SUBMITTAL OF REQUESTS FOR FUTURE ITEMS

Individuals who have appropriate items for City Council consideration should complete the Request for Future Agenda Items form located near the entrance of the meeting room.  If the issue can be handled administratively without Council action, notification will be provided.  If the item is scheduled for a committee or Council meeting, notification of the date will be given.

C.    CONSENT AGENDA

1.      Approval of the minutes of the regular meeting of February 3, 2009.

2.      Approval of claims.

3.      Approval of the January 2009 Reconciliation Report.

4.      Approval of the appointment of Susan Bartels to the Citizens Advisory Review Committee; term to expire December 2011.

5.      Approval of the appointment of Kelly Davis to the Housing Committee; term to expire August 2012.

D.    PUBLIC HEARINGS

1.      Public Hearing concerning the City of Fairbury, Nebraska 1 & 6 Year Street

Improvement Plan for 2009 – 2014.

E.     CURRENT BUSINESS

1.      Approval and awarding of bids received for Paving & Drainage Improvements for Improvement District 2008-1 which is Bacon Road and Improvement Project

2008-2 which is 17^th & F Street.

     2.   Approval and awarding of bids received for Storm Sewer Improvements-2008.

     3.   Request for authorization for Mayor Ward to sign the 2009 Loan Agreement with     National Museum of the U.S. Air Force for the Aircraft on display at the Fairbury Airport.

4.       Consideration and approval of recommendation from the Planning Commission to insert Notice of Building Permit Requirements in the utility billing.

F.     RESOLUTIONS AND ORDINANCES

1.      Resolution No. 715 approving the 2009 – 2014 One & Six Year Street Improvement Plan.

2.  Third Reading: Ordinance No. 2980: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY OF FAIRBURY MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 92.21 – ABATEMENT PROCEDURE FOR NUISANCES.
